Bloodborne Pathogen Training

H.E.A.R.T. offers Bloodborne Pathogen programs that are O.S.H.A. (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) compliant.  In 1992, federal legislation required that any employee having potential for contacting blood or other infectious materials must undergo yearly training in the methods used to prevent or limit transmission of bloodborne diseases.  This training involves utilization of work-practice controls, engineering controls, as well as exposure reporting, and first aid procedures.

Many of our clients were unaware that OSHA requires YEARLY retraining in BBP.  Employees in at risk positions must also be offered free personal protective equipment and Hepatitis B vaccinations.

The H.E.A.R.T. Advantage

All of our programs are taught by licensed paramedics, nurses, respiratory therapists, and doctors.  At no time will we employ an instructor who does not have a working clinical knowledge of emergency procedures and training.
